It's often been said,
by the foolish and the lost
dead in the head
"Accountability is not for
those who struggle...
it's for those who succeed".
Nat, it's for all,
whether a farmer knee-deep
in manure and seed.
Accountability starts
when we take on the task,
and look to create anew,
not dwell in the past.
It starts with Quality,
as old Pirsig would say,
and a Zen state of mind
carries troubles away.
It starts by being more
than a number on a line,
but a craftsman, an artist
trying to make the soul shine!
Cowards try to put down
the down-trod and the poor,
and say they are without
merit or hope forevermore.
This is the Truth, i say,
and now it's become My Creed
That i will do all i should,
and do more, for that's the need!
Author notes
I thought i'd take this on with "Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance" in mind, and attack it from my own interpretation on the book and the values like Quality and Craftsmanship.

I like how you have turned the quote around to make it about your values and what you believe to be true. I think that it is because that this piece has so much strength. Thank you for entering the contest!
