Walking along the transparent path
Nothing following me, but His wrath.
I carry the burden of my past
Question is: how long will it last?
The once dulled colors beneath my feet
No longer filled of lies and deceit.
My heart longs for the correct way.
But how long will my feet run astray?
I kneel and pray, searching for His words.
Hearing nothing but Him and His birds.
"Please, Lord. Come into my life.
Heal me, and help me put down the knife."
Nothing answers, so I begin to leave
Only then do I really believe.
The color returned, flowing into me.
Onto the path below, setting me free.
Running so fast, I ignore the burn.
On a one track mind: to fulfill the yearn.
I have reached the end, the color stops.
I see a vision of Him in the falling rain drops.
