Symphony of the lost soul

Tonight I'll write
For you my love
The most beautiful symphony
For you and only for you

Tonight I'll write
The symphony of the lost soul
Because that is what I am
Lost soul, a lonely soul
Without you my love
I'm dead inside

There is no more
that beautiful music
that we composed and played together
There is no more
that beautiful rhymes
That we wrote together

Here on your precious piano
Are just a blank sheet
And white piece of paper
For my last work of art
For my last symphony

Tonight I'll write
Symphony of the lost soul
For you and only for you
My love

I hope you'll find it
One day and play it for me,
Just for me
Like you used to do
Maybe then my soul will find a home
But tonight . . .
I'm writting my last symphony
Symphony of the lost soul

You really penned a piece with a lot of emotion and I liked how you took the prompt and added a lot of feeling and a bit more of a story which It was easy to see was crafted from something personal. I loved the first stanza and how you repeated this towards the end, I felt that helped draw in the reader and then helped make the poem feel more complete. The last stanza was very clever and effective, the image of this other person playing the same symphony of your sadness was really powerful. Great work x

I liked how you used 'writitng a symphony' to direct your main idea through your poem.

Good job and good luck in the contest.
