Excellent
You've penned a though provoking piece, turning "positive" into a "negative" seeing hope as an intruder to your thoughs?! My views: In the darkness of despair a light of hope makes a pair. Pondering in unity creates reality.

excellent~
I think hope is what everyone needs now...
From the destruction of Hurricane Ike to Wall Streets downfall...Me thinks sometime America is going under instead of getting better
Penned excellent as always sweetie
Best of luck in the contest a winner in my book

Interesting
Interesting thoughts you bring out with your take on the word Hope? This one puzzles me which is great for it has brought me into deep thought. I always had hope for my son to make it in sobriety, positive insinuations encouraging hope, but my hope for this died the day he died. So I still believe that as long as they are living there is always HOPE!! Just my take on this poem with where my head is at. Just brilliant with so few words.
Also I wanted to thank you for commenting on my poem. I think of you often too and hope all is well with you and your family.
Wishing you many blessings
Much Love
Kelle Marie

Dare! And keep daring! Hope is the light that shines in the darkness to show there is an alternative.

"encouraging hope"? The nerve of us! Reminds me of that attack on hope ... as 'false'. In a world filled with negativity, deception, and violence ... let me continue to be strong enough to hold the flame of hope to light the darkness so the 'rats' have no place to hide
Best of luck in the contest sis!

Thought Provoking Question
This would be a good opener for the topic of hope. You leave us pondering hope with the skepticism you portray here, and indeed you are right!

-
alot to think about with so little words

-
Hope is the thing that allows another sun rise. How dare us ...indeed.
Your words echo from so many hearts. Lovely and inspiring question, Renee.

-
there is hope, the escape from facing "the way it is" and their is hope that calls to us and demands we keep striving when everyone else would quit. One is an escape in desperation and the other is an unwillingness to quit. I can't see you in the former and I can hear you in the latter.

Love, Tom B.

Hope, insinuated or not, is better than the alternative.
