Shrouded in her wedding dress, she lies in deaths repose,
in her hand a silver bouquet and a single broken rose.
Serenity sleeps within her face, her eyes in slumber closed,
her lover with sad memories of the day that he proposed.
She left life on her wedding day,in a grave of twisted steel,
cruel fate, unwelcome caller, her young life deigned to steal.
Farewells in tearful bitterness, from family and friends,
in remembrance of beauty, which is where our story ends.
Author notes
Sorry its so short, but I thought dragging it out might become to maudlin.
