nothing ever changes
people and places revolve
like a never-ending home movie
one that
flickers and fades
while it plays against a
stark white screen
...a silent movie because
no one has the time to utter a
single word in the production we call
life
tethered emotions creep like a plague
insidious and all-pervading
filling my senses with dread
while
cold grey tentacles of sorrow curl
strangling all joy from my life
until only a barren landscape remains
and
...somewhere between hello and
the first bloom of love to a time
when we grew weary and jaded
I became lost...

I can relate to this one too well...very strong in raw truth and emotions...love the metaphor and flow and the ending says it all...lovely in sorrow and feelings of being lost...we all go there and most find our way home...well done!

Oh that is just awful. Not the poem, the emotion. The poem is really quite good. Gorgeous imagery and I think you did marvelously!

Good job ...
but all this gloom and doom is depressing.
I hope you find your way home.

Thank you very much for your kind comment.
I'm not really lost, just a little disorientated sometimes

WONDERFUL!!!
Life has indeed become such a cold, cold place in which those of us who try to reach out to make a difference just cannot help but become caught up in it at least for a time.

-
Very gloomy and very well written.
