Land of Curry and Balti,
Wafting down the street,
What a surprise it would be,
A white face to greet.
Wider still and wider
Is Yorkshire's patience stretched;
God who made her mighty
Has now made her wretched.

This is honestly very interesting. I ask that you please put your prompt {no matter how obvious it is in the poem} in the AN. Other than that, wonderful.
Thanks for entering and good luck. -
I once went to Bradford. Once was one time too many. No wonder the Bradford & Bingley went bust, anything was better than building there.

Utterly totally lovely. How Elgar would have loved this. I hope one day to hear this at the Last Night, maybe accompanied by the BBC Sitar Orchestra.

Excellent
Hmm.. An intriguing write. I suspect their is a lot more meaning to this than what appears on the surface.
Living in Seattle, Wa. USA; I do not think I can appreciate it to the fullest extent. Imagery, rhythm and rhyme are just fine.
