I believe,God gave to me
my talent to write poetry.
There is no greater way,
than to put your feelings.
in words,
some don't understand,
some don't want to know.
For me it is a way to let
myself go.
I can let my imagination run free,
no boundaries holding me.
May be in years to come,
when the time is right,
they will not only be,
on a screen ,
but published in a book,
that's my dream.

Very beautifully expressed. God gave us talents to use for others and what better way to do that then to publish! Congratulations.

I think you have brought out a great point, the importance of having dreams and goals. How much more we appreciate the gift of Life when every new day brings a chance to improve on a talent we love!
And yes, I think words are a beautiful way to embody feelings, thoughts, and imagination. It almost lets us pick them up and handle them, turning them over to change perspective and watch the different plays of light across their surfaces. May you achieve your dream!

It is so true, and yet I think poetry can be so much more than a talent for it is a release, a way of coping with the world, a way of communicatino - as, of course, are many other talents such as art, music, etc.
Good job on putting your thougths [and talent!] down here though, and best of luck in the contest
