Beacons

Missing image

Stalwart sentinels that stand firm

on rocky foundations,

as witness unto faith's light,

piercing the seas of darkness

and wreckage of sunken lives.

The Lord's redeeming illumination radianting outward as witness,

from a follower willingly accepting the role as a living lighthouse,

letting testimony's beacon reach every passing soul's ship,

not casting the false facade of whitewashed behavior,

but grace's flame from a divine bulb.

Holy Spirit is the keeper,

who flips the switch at God's command,

it brings His rays of love

to guide towards Heaven's sands.

Horn of gospel message calls forth during fog of doubt,

beckoning with peace's song found in the harbor of His arms,

moorings of forgiveness always awaiting the lost and drowning heart,

By the radiance of day

shining from His eternal eyes,

obedient pillars of His compass word

are content to be seen as a servant's silhouette,

shaped in the face of Jesus,

filled with joy

when their vigilance in steadfastness

brings any to salvation's shore.
