The Choice

love is not easy.

under a night full of stars

thunder and lightning
across blackwhite skies
the great blinding angel
in a demon’s disguise

the one way to survive
impossible to kill
what was never alive

but i bleed and i die.
rip out my own heart
for one look at your face

this was my choice.
i set the stakes high
