I clung to our friendship
the way you supported me

the floodgates that would open
the feelings so deep inside
the compassion and comfort

curled up on the couch
watching the movie
I saw it happen
the fireworks
the flooding
of feeling and emotion
I finally saw it
the kiss that changed my life
the kisses that I get
on a daily basis
I finally saw
the truth in feeling
the connection
of our souls
I finally saw
the one who
puts all others to shame
the other half of my soul
