A Love Song

Missing image
If I could write a love song
I'd tell of the way I feel

If I could tell a story
it would be through the music of my heart

With each word
played upon these keys
I could fill your heart with hope
and a love you have missed for so long

Played softly with my fingertips
upon black and white
are the feelings I have for you
and have for all time

If I could write a love song
that tells the way I feel
it would tell a story
of how much my love is truly real

    Absolutely heartwrenching

This is absolutely beautiful....I really love your way with words. Its enough to bring a fellow vampyre to tears. My favorite stanza would be "Played softly with my fingertips
    upon black and white
are the feelings I have for you
and have for all time" So much emotion goes right there....Im feeling the exact same thing for someone.
I love your work. More please?

wow I absolutely love this poem I'm a musician and a bleading heart romantic so this speaks volumes to me I know exactly how it feels to sit and play and try to get my emotion into each and every note and I've sat thinking the same thing just wanting some way to prove how I feel this is a great poem and I honestly thank you for posting it

    I can hear the music
soft and tender in my ear
    each time you whisper softly
it almost brings me to tears

    The love song glitters brightly
    in your lovely shining eyes
and I feel it in your carresses
    it always brings me surprise

If only you could look in my heart
    you'd quickly come to see
the garden that YOU have grown
with the way that you have loved me

What a wonderful piece you have penned, my love!
