From the fairy-tales to the days of today,
when came the stories and legends of the
mermaids.
Now lost in time yet the woman holds visions
within her dance,
as love lifts her and gives her the feelings
of swimming getting one more chance.
The sounds within her as she becomes limp within
his arms,
visions of the ocean about her and the seagulls
afar.
Trapped within a web of love yet her mind falls
back in time,
where the roar of the ocean rushes in and brings
visions to her eyes.
As though she has no legs to stand on he holds
her within his embrace,
She slowly opens her eyes and look deep in his face.
Trusting this man who so completely thrills her soul,
yet deep within she feels a stirring of the oceans
constant roar on the sandy knolls.
Women through the ages their greatness often not seen,
held back from their potentials for the men never see.
Lost in generations where they so let the men rule the days,
now a place of sorrow no place for the mermaid to play.
