Through some Rabbinic eyes of Judaism, so studied and schooled,
Isaiah spoke in the last of his, "Songs of the Suffering Servant,"
of the one who would come and end the pain of Israel,
others of their discipline felt it was a simple promise of hope
with the servant being a symbol for all the Jewish nation.
They debated, they analyzed long before the Lord walked the earth,
still seeing in its phrases, just meanings needing translations,
oracles to be interpreted and memorized,
but in the mind, not with the soul, thoughts void of faith's light.
But when the Holy Spirit touched the disciples the truth became revealed,
Jesus was the fulfillment of the vision that the Old Testament seer had meant.
Not the dialogue of speculation, nor theological banter needed
for the ones who view him with worshipful eyes as Savior.
Just as when Phillip the Apostle witnessed to the Ethiopian eunuch
by the power of God's Spirit, he gave Isaiah 53: 7 and 8 the message intended,
it wasn't just words, it was life itself, passion for love of Christ flowing from lips.
For it is when the scriptures become the very beat of one's heart,
we feel them alive and having the power to give us purpose,
not concerned with the banter of those only find an image in the prophecies,
because for us, all we see is the face of Jesus who died that we might have salvation.
