a passage remaining to be thought
There is an indecision,
a word trembling
deferred against some stage
another pale page,
dawn endlessly inferred
between strangled eyes;
sauf le nom,
in constant retreat
and then offerings,
it is not but is,
that is yet but and to be,
passage of retreat,
not words but breath
revealed;
cloudword
a mist parting
dew falls between petals,
damage of knowledge,
in the faint splash.

sauf le nom,---"except the name"

I'm getting behind but that's okay you keep on writing.
Odd I have this strange sensation that this is about the language of a kiss -- or that it somehow is related to the kiss of language?
Maybe it has to do with reading Barthes. I'm confusing my metaphors and such. Anyway, I share:
"A language is a self-contained relationship between various signifiers. A symbol is defined by its relation to other symbols, and yet those other symbols are only different from it inasmuch as they have a different relation to each other than it does. But then, what are they in themselves? Where is this elusive "meaning" they are supposed to terminate in?"
I know way off but letting myself wander some perhaps looking for my own relationship/meaning here influenced by what is on the mind.
Clearly this is a about the intimacy of a kiss. strangled eyes is quite good. I just read it again, it is quite pretty isn't it? and sounds so good to read. I have no nits at this time.
Good luck in the contest.

How many times did you do this, Poet?
I would love to know ... for practice makes perfect ...
What a wonderful description.
Do you know ... Few ever kissed in the way a kiss should be kissed. Do not ask me. I shall know when it happens.
A faint splash, eh? Well ... almost.
The true kiss is the one that makes one forget name, gender, place, space and time. It is far beyond any description by words or even feelings.
Yes.
The true kiss is a very new unknown feeling.
Sigh.

We do not need a name to kiss but lol it is nice if we do know who we kiss...I don't think you need a reason to do it though, they often taste better with a little surprise

This had the fragile quality of hesitation before a kiss.. the smoldering in the eyes.. and then the last stanza spoke of the kiss' realization. Well to me anyway lol
This is magic!!
