Death.
The passing of one moment
to another,
a fleeting instant of pain
it's gone.
A moment of sheer feeling
nothing else exists,
but the hands of another
upon you.
That gut-wrenching, heart breaking
soul destroying moment
where life passes from here
to there.
A sullen word attached
to sorrow.
A joyful word attached
to change.
The passing of seconds
on the clock
a sigh in the lifetime
of the world.
Death.

Wow
I like this as well. Very good capture on death and I like the repetition of the word Death after so beautifully defining it. Great reading too.

It's so mysterious, how death will come. I think you may have really caught it. Thank you for entering the contest, good luck.

wonderful
I love this definition poem. I have never been able to write one myself, this is a wonderful example of what one would be. I also really like the format, I think it adds to the deep meaning in your words. It is very hard to describe death in words, but you have done it well.

Nothing I can Say but that I am amazed and passing it forward for the time being. So far it's among my favorites...
