First Time/First Try

hesitation peaks
that instant my lips find yours,
while a small breeze picks
up, swirling your hair in front
of those soon to be brushed lips

which stick together
like hair on a lollipop,
becoming static
and still, we separate like
a shock, laughing through the halls

A sweet little poem, sometimes the awkward moments are the most endearing. Maybe it's just my monitor, but with the colors you've chosen, the text is kind of hard t read.

I lovvve this!! Haha that was an interesting night. So awkward, yet funny and memorable. How something made out to be this huge important thing is made into something funny to look back on. I love how you capture it all in this. Thank you for writing it Patty
