One lone frog
sitting morosely on a log
staring at the starry night sky
croaking a mournful tune
sitting morosely on a log
he waits for his love to return
croaking a mournful tune
in tribute to his undying love
he waits for his love to return
in tribute to his undying love
one lone frog

Piggy will love you, one day Kermit!
Oh so sweet. The frog is the only animal I know who will let himself be known in the dark of night "croaking a mournful tune in tribute of his undying love". Thanks for adding some life to my meadow!

The visuals this creates is delightful. One can see the moonbeams glisten on lilly pad and hear his mournful calls.

They do sound quite morose at times, don't
they? Ah, little lonely frog - I hope he finds new love on the pond come spring.

Interesting. I find myself feeling this way often. Very nice.

Cute Cute Cute!
This is an adorable poem! I like the style! Could be a cute little froggie song with the right tune! Nice repetition as well. Makes the poem unique! Nice work!
Best regards and good luck!

First of all I'm a frog fanatic...the little ceramic ones are all over my garden...that's another story...
frogs do seem like they are waiting ....for their friend......for a kiss....
this was whimsical and just a nice read.
It would be wonderful to know if such animals have feelings in any way such as ours...lol
Very magical.
Blessings gypsy,
LOWELL
