I tried dusting once sneezed for hours
Vacuuming is not so easy without power
I really didn’t mean to melt the micro-wave
You see in that last fire which was not my fault
I tried my best but the stove too I couldn’t save
I must have a clean sink, tub & toilet this I insist
That’s why my darling hubby takes care of this
You see, I have a delicate constitution
Cleaning I’ve always said is just not my forte
So I have made this my new resolution
Laundry, mopping, dishes, making the bed
Are too much to think about it hurts my head
Even the noise from the dishwasher we put in the shed
I am really allergic that’s what my doctor said
No tedious housewifey things just relaxing instead

Well-written and humorous! Made me giggle because I am allergic to housework also. Seriously, I have allergies too. Us artists of "delicate constitution" have better things to be doing. lol's. Best wishes in the contest. Your poems always brighten my day (or night). karen
