how his poetry reads and feels

you visited the stars
borrowed their glow
and spread
cosmic sparkles
on the verses you write

I saw the moon rising
in early nights
and still shine through day light
when touched
by your poetic hand

and the light of old poets
working as ancient candles
of everlasting wax
when you bring their thoughts alive
through inspired lines

traces left by time
created along the years
small parts of your existence
you let us see
little of all that never can be too much
to read

particles of your life
translated into poesy

happy birthday PK!

You have captured some wonderful truth about his poetry. He has a way with observation, and capturing what is best and most beautiful in poetry/things/people. Never afraid to share himself, in bits, through his beautiful words. I think you spoke so aptly here, Mari. Thanks so much for this most excellent entry, and for being the little bird in my ear.

Thank you Mari...so very much...such a lovely poem, and yes I have become quite at home with old poetry...so much to learn and consider...Africa, Brazil, heroes, patriots...like voices of ancestors they call and ask if we can remember them, and remind us to savor our moments... beautiful poetry...h
