In the land of the free,
where free men sit on couches,
watching television (no longer free),
eating glucose-free chips
(that are cholesterol free),
making interest-free payments
on their lead-free automobiles
(with the Free Tibet bumperstickers),
blasting "Free Bird" on the commute
down the free-way where
all this illusory free-dom
is in perpetual free-fall
till the radio preacher offers some free advice:
"Whomever the Son sets free...
is free indeed!"
Author notes
Free, my favorite word, until now.

i enjoyed reading this unique write! it may not have flowed as well as my ear desired, yet it speaks volumes and is quite accurate in its description of our society.

Free the Preacher!
Great free verse here, free-ly expressed in a free-flowing form.
