Have you ever felt like you could trust someone not to judge?
Then to your surprise, you learn better.
You feel like you're thrown aside.
So embarrassed, that you even tried.
Guess what? You've been BETRAYED.
Someone said they understood.
Really though they were up to no good.
Well once again, you've been BETRAYED.
Of course there goes especially all of your trust.
It's blowing along just like the dust.
Oh well what did you expect?
I know you thought you could forget.
Now you have learned, hopefully for the last time.
You've been BETRAYED, welcome to the back of the line.

Author notes
What more needs to be said. We've all been in this spot, some of us more than others.
Some like myself, no matter how hard we try keep ending up at the back of the line.
Betrayal hurts, but the risk is worth it. Without risk in our lives, living would be really dull. Someday I'll make it to the front. I guess it's all good, so long as I remember not to do the betraying.
Please tell me what you think

This really makes me think about how it is hard to trust other humans. Because we are not perfect and we all sin, we will all let people down at times and even leave them feeling betrayed sometimes. The good news about all of it though, is that there is someone that will never betray you. He will never let you down, and you can always trust Him. His name is Jesus, and He is the only one that will always be there for you- no matter what.

Thanks,
I know this, but it's not that easy for me. If you read my profile, you'll understand me better. It took a long enough time to accept that God didn't hate me. You see, even the Lord was used against me, trust isn't straight forward for me. God takes me just as is though, even with all my scars, and distrust. Thanks again, Connie

A comment...
it's really relatable, but i think the pink background doesn't fit. when i saw the background i didn't expect such a serious poem, you know what i mean? i'd put a darker color. does't have to be black, maybe purple. -

Thanks for reading.
Thanks for the insight into the color. Ah but that is my being something unexpected. It's sort of betraying in it's own way.

I could easily relate to this... Some learn from one time and some might need to be betrayed more than 10 times to know the trick, guess we all go through this in some period of our life.
Nice write, very honest and stright.

Thanks,
sometimes it seems like a continuing cycle. One day I'll see it coming ahead of time.

Move to the front of the line
You're right... what else needs to be said? Without taking risks there isn't any LIVING... only being. Great job!
