Allegory

Allegory of a disdained underdog;
a proud people who once owned vision

to part sea.

He has been despised throughout centuries

for having aspirations of such promise.

Who is this mocked man of such affliction
that he would have to continually fashion
a savior out of countless holocausts?

What is his stain that he should so suffer
for high offenses such as cleverness?

Even his own story is perverted
with himself written out to give redemption
to those who can not see allegory.

Author notes

Isaiah's suffering servant was never a mystery before the advent of Christianity.
