One Heart.

Our hearts and lifes together shared,
through love death pain and tears,
Been together over forty two years.
Where have the years gone...flown away.

Saddened now a memory of yesterday.
Captured in photographs our life together.
Sunny days stormy weather,
still remain in love together.

In your arms a warm embrace,
dry the tears from your face.
Hold your hand no words are spoken
know your thoughts our hearts are broken.

Hold you tight feel your pain,
shared our life laughed again.
You are my friend my lover too,
my heart and life I share with you.

A oneness that I'm well aware
we dared to give our all and share.
When I'm down you pick me up,
we both drink and share our cup.

Now we talk of the approaching day
when death shall take one away.
A lifetime shared and then to part,
I love you more than from the start.

Well, my dear friend and sister from far away, this was beautiful. Your husband is very blessed to have you in his life. It is true, in this system it seems all so temporary, can't wait until all is fulfilled in His promises!!!!! Wonderful poem.

    SUCH HEARTFELT LOVE!!!!

This is the love that is sadly missing in todays people as a whole, they do not even try to help one another through the tough times, they just move on to another and do the same, on and on.'s

Thank you for your wise comment...yes that is half the battle learning to deal with the problems you encounter rather than walking away from them...good marriages don't just happen..they have to be worked on in the real world.

Oh, wow... this was very moving...

It's so hard to lose someone that is so dear to us... someone with whom you share one heart, one beating... Those last moments are the most difficult...
But the best we can do is recall to the life we had together... all the memories, and feelings shared will be precious...

This is a beautiful poem and a loving testatment to the love that can blossom between to people and last through life. The good and the bad are shared and do not drive apart, but bring closer together. Even at the end, the love is there and helps to face the fears of death.

Yes that is true the good and the bad are shared and through this we build many bridges, that unite us for life through all that we share, love and life the ups and the downs we sort of become one.

thank you for your kind comment much appreciated. (Extra slice of bread pudding for that!!!!)

Hallo my dear friend Kelle Marie, I'm sure you understand a lot of the depth of meaning in this poem. Especially the verse that said, "In your arms a warm embrace, dry the tears from your face. Hold your hand no words are spoken, know your thoughts our hearts are broken."

I am sure that you have related to these feelings and know my exact meaning, yes? Thank you for your lovely comment dear friend always.
