Sorrow Bound

Missing image
Head held within my hands,
to catch the tears that fall.
Salt tastes bittersweet,
sounds of loneliness call.

World turned upside down,
life goes on all around.
As I play this masquarade,
to this sorrow I am bound.

Hide pain well, very deep,
in depths no one can see.
No one can tell love is hell,
pain has its grip on me.

Contest Prompt...

Heaven knows the words
that pour from my mouth
words that touch your soul
don't know no north or south
Invisible now I cry
in the perfect summer rain
lost in my reflection
with a heart so full of pain

    Bitter and deeply emotional, this reaches deep within;
    "Salt tastes bittersweet,
    sounds of loneliness call."
    Amazing lines!

    Best of luck!

    Stay safe
    Love to you

You did a good write on this.

Very impressed on this one. We never know how love will turn from day to day. Some think they have it in the bag, and they are left holding the bag. I know some wish the were holding the bag, instead of getting stuck with Hell on wheels. How is one to know????...mac
