Lamenated ( HM )

Polished once a gleam

a smile

held upon torched light

flickering until the batteries fade.

 

Lone a heart

deep sobs echo blank plastered walls

undressed

bare its covering.

 

Shadows loom ghostly intent

hauntingly beautiful

a figurine

once lay naked in arms.

 

Framed perfection dances in mind

hollow images

negative hopes once full a dream

cast cold .

 

Lamented floorboards creaked

sprung passion

desiring times of

once was you and me.

    this is so sad Mum. The emotions that I felt while reading this were so very strong. the imagery is vivid and dark.. such a sad thing. I like the last 2 stanzas..

    A dark piece filled with the pain of lost love - beautifully and emotionally wrought with all your heart and soul, my dear friend! I for one will hope that love will come it's way to you again - and that it will be better then it has ever been - and this Brass Bed will be a HAPPY place, once again - in a home filled with peace, love, joy, bliss, tenderness, and happiness - all of the days of your life.
