As fairy sunrays on her fell
Woken by the scented smell
She pulls away the petal sheet
She casts her daily fairy spell
Protected by her floral home
She frolics happy, fear unknown
When close by, past the silken veil
Lurks dangers when she's all alone
As dainty as her form may be
Transparent wings flap vigorously
She peeks out past the satin wall
To spot the pesky bumble bee
Potential danger now ignored
The cactus thorn becomes her sword
Now armour clad, she wields her force
The bumble bee becomes outscored
Cactus warrior, gentle being
Sends her foe away - fast fleeing
Retiring to her haven safe
To sip on dewdrops for wellbeing
