Dragon's Kiss

I learned my lesson
I lived it well
I know the difference between heaven and hell

I kissed a dragon
Bodies consumed by heat
The memories left are burns on meat

Ferocious seconds burnt up
A mind melting too fast for a thought
If I could go back
I'd wait a while longer
My urges to him would control our hunger

When his presence left I was swept by cold
I was alone and my conscience was pulled
From beneath the ashes
A mind being dragged through telling flashes

A lesson learned
A body burned
A kiss shared
Those memories blurred

I really like the conclusion, though some of the other stanzas feel a bit too free verse. As to the message...well, I have a feeling it's none of my business. Hang in there.

    AMAZING

Wow, this is amazing. I totally understand this poem! Great job Vahn! I love how you put this "person" as a "dragon."
