Since the Begining of Time

You ask what it looked like,

You aske when it all began.

This tree has stood a life time.

A life time since time began.

Never questioning the day or night.

Even the year it all began.

The tree has stood a life time.

A twig shoved into the ground.

The seasons nor the weather.

  Did he ever complain.

This tree has stood a life time.

The sights he has seen roll them back again.

Is there a limit to what he can endure.

His maker has his soul to prove,

This tree has stood a life time.

If he can then why can't we?

Beautiful quandary. I personally have an affinity for trees. They tend to live hundreds of years by comparison. I sometimes see what appears as faces in the bark. But know it's just imagination I suppose. Although its said in handed down tales that they do possess spirits all their own. Good luck in the comp.
