Would you take my hand, walk with me,
to shorten these long miles?
Make the long and winding road ahead,
full of laughter and smiles?
You see I have kind of lost my way,
my journey has been unsure.
Would you walk with me upon this path,
shed your light on the obscure?
You are a friend to me and to Jesus,
a blessing He sent to me.
Would you let me share your shoulder,
till I can once more be me.
Would you be my guardian angel,
to protect and make me strong?
You are a friend I have come to count on,
one I waited for so long.
Now come help rid me from all sorrow,
share my tears till my eyes dry.
Through friendship and faith and hope,
two side by side we can try.

this is wonderful Sandy.. Friends are what makes life a little more bearable, when our load is heavy and minds weary there mere presence brightens the day. I got a smile from this and a feeling of gratefulness for all those who have blessed me with friendship.
