For a Vampyre the balance isn't always there
on the outside we never age or worry about hair
but in private we reach out in quiet, lost despair
We fly through the night and seem so very sane
fearless of the dangers no demons can contain
but in private we yearn for a solution to our pain
When the world is in transition, we reveal no real ommision
to interfere with mortal lives would be an imposition
but deep down we wish for challenge offering decision
Immortality knows no peace

Awesome! I like it. You're introducing the other side of immortality, which is nice rather than your cliche forever and accomplishments. I really like the way you have formated the poem into three stanzas of three lines with the one line close. It isn't traditional which adds to the poem. Great write! And by the way...Have you read the Twilight series? If not I highly recommend it.

ooooh my! This is fantastic, as always your words are full of emotion, and your lines flow beautifully. I especially love this:
"but in private we reach out in quiet, lost despair"
^fantastic!
Thanks for sharing this and all the best in the contest,

Luck.

Like the way you have expressed this. It's a comment on what it's like to be different. Immortality cannot be an easy life. It would be difficult to form friendships, I think, especially when the person who wish to befriend fears ending up with a bit on the neck!
