My child
you left stillborn
never held you to bosom
memories trickling
each passing day
how bright my life
if only are you around
girls of your age remind
I miss your smiles
you left for good
made this heart heavy
waiting in vain
longing to hear sweet word
I am growing old
but you are a child
then, now and after
I got time eternal
play with you
tease you to heart content
console you
fill my bosom with nectar
Author notes
I lost my child 23 years back, I felt nostalgic when I see girls of that age. There are so many to embalm my heart in A.P.

Tearful
I am sorry for your loss. Oddly enough my mother and I were talking about what we would do or how we would feel if we ever lost one of our children. I feel for you, but I cannot understand you pain. I hope that time truly does heal all wounds.

when you loose
a child, your life does have a void forever unfullfilled, as we grow older we can hardly wait to be with him/her again, you penned this with sadness but again with awaiting hope,
good luck in this contest

Beautiful poem...sorry about your loss ...
Each new day unfolds a memory sometimes old, sometimes new....

The reminders of grief are endless and painful. This poem is beautifully sad, and any parent can understand, who has examined the fact that children die like others do. I'm sorry for your loss.
You are right, people in memories do not change.
There are spelling issues: stillborn, in vain, nectar.
Well done, good luck.
