I cry for those who's mothers cared not,
for amidst it all Jesus was there.
He gave the gift of life to be loved,
loved ot not Jesus was there.
For through childrens eyes he watches,
and to feel his loving embrace.
Is through your childrens arms and,
through the light upon their face.
Through my mothers embrace Jesus kept me,
free and joyful and taught to believe.
Not a day went by she wasn't there,
with loving arms guiding me and her heavenly smile she shared .
The days she was bedridden oh how I felt his kiss,
and often the warmth he passed through her fingertips.
Jesus was there I so saw him each day within my mothers eyes,
and to know this feeling is truly a blessing in life.
As she was passing on the journey to my sisters house,
I spoke softly and reasured her of this love.
And the moment her head touched the pillow we knew,
God took her hand and her glow and peace were so true.
Today she is with her baby she lost at birth,
and my sister that left so young.
And the blessings so received Jesus kept me,
with a whisper that said come on come on.
Author notes
To know love is the greatest feeling upon this earth and to return that love is where the embrace is so felt always

Thank you for your entry
It is so very sad when mothers can't or won't even love their own children. Thank you for sharing.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless

This is a very touching poem for your mother. You have honored other family members as well. I am sure they look upon you with pride.
Great job.

Oh, this is lovely!
Very touching and inspiring! I hope I'm as strong when my parents are called by God, which hopefully will not be for sometime. I like how you tied it in with her seeing Jesus in you, in your eyes from your birth, and the cycle continuing. Ever wonder what we'll look like in heaven? Old or young?

To know love is not enough,to feel love is the real gift. I felt it in your prose. Well done.

A stunning poem about the love between you and your mother. It was set perfectly showing that through Jesus we have love and that He is in any relationship. I think He has a special love for a child and parent that have a true Christ like Love. This poem has tat for sure.
