Tiny little angels left to walk in hell
they are beaten and everything said to them comes in a yell
She closes her eyes for the pain she feels each lash
as her abuser with his vile tongue forever coming back
Eyes of the abused has no age
its the time of birth each day horror reigns
People all about them say nothing today
its a sickness of the world I would say
Nights brings not sleep it only brings tears
for this little angel lives in fear
Where are her guardean angels are they on drugs to
do they join in this evil abuse
Like a scared little puppy I know your eyes do see jump
jump at loud noises and always look at their abuser indeed
in an abusers mind with children through fear they have full reign

This piece tugged hard at Spirit and while I was reading which I do several times~ Images come to me in many forms~ while taking in Your words: its a sickness of the world I would say- when I read that part, I was reminded how in other countries, eyes, ears and mouths are covered when it comes to child slavery- abuse of their rights- etc It is sad when a child who cannot protect self- is left vulnerable- I'm shown an example of a lamb placed in a Lions den
Also after reading again- reference to: vile tongue- I'm being shown devastating words to sever a child's self-esteem also how some become serial killers from pent up abuse- how they release their caged anger onto another-
Stanza three- guardean angels- for some reason I am showing *guardian* but I knew what You meant
Children are not pets and should not be treated as such- also children and pets should not be subjected to abuse but unfortunately are- when the abuse is ignored- it is like the child and pet are made to feel-rejected- nobody cares However this to be interpreted Whether metaphor or symbolism

Oh yes we do need to be those guardian angels to those broken children and even adults who's inner child has been broken and never been able to come out and be healed. You did a beautiful job with the prompt. It is so so sad yet so very true. It's happening all the time all over this world. I just love you and good luck in the contest.
