Scarred flagstones of fear refused to flee
'cross sands of deep-seated pain,
as heart sings and sways, she starts to pray
for her life to start over again.
Sorrows set still on thick swabs of cloth,
like clouds that rose from her chest;
she starts to pray as heart sings and sways
with wild wonders that dance by request.
She looked for hope and for faith anew-
simple signs in Winter's light;
as heart sings and sways, she starts to pray
for fresh belief that she'll find her sight.
Her soul was littered with only loss,
with promises and goodbyes...
she starts to pray as heart sings and sways
searching for old truths in love's new eyes.
