Poets Survivor 3--Semi-final RESULTS!!!!!

Before getting to the results, I want to make a very special thanks to our two guest judges, Mirthyl and Pamela A Lamppa.  It was so great to be able to call upon you when I found myself in need of help.  You both are treasures.  Also, I want to say a special thanks to Bunny who also had to sacrifice to be a part of this Survivor Round. It wouldn't have been the same without her.  You all are real blessings to me!

I hope everyone has had an opportunity to view the results of the two contest rounds for the Semifinals, 'cause it's time to announce the final results, including the name of the excellent poet who must leave us.

But first the good news....

One of you is absolutely safe.  Of great interest to me, was that this poet did not take a gold trophy in either contest, though contributing excellent poems.  But when the point totals from BOTH the villanelle and the freeverse were added together, the poet with the OVERALL highest score is . . .

Mallig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOT!  YOU GO, GIRL!

Now for the elimination.  I can not say how much it PAINS me to let this person go.  He always writes something special that leaves you thinking and imagining.

It is either Peteskid or Everwind Rising.

This guy has taken gold in multiple rounds of this contest.

And wrote two excellent poems for this round as well.

Could be PK...

Could be Everwind...

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the eliminated player. . .

Someone whose poetry I have truly come to admire. . .

Everwind Rising.

Goodbye to Everwind, and thank you for all of your amazing thoughts, words, and messages.  Much to be proud of. I for one, have been awed more than a few times.

That leaves Peteskid in third place OVERALL and surviving the semi-finals.

Peteskid.

Wow, thank you! As Mirthryl said, great presentation, even if it was horribly cruel. I'm really shocked about the villanelle contest, and I think Mallig is an extremely deserving overall winner! Congratulations to Peteskid as well, and I'm sorry and surprised to see Everwind Rising go.

Just so you know, I'm going away for a few days - I'll be back on Friday - sorry I didn't tell you about this sooner. I hope I'll still be able to compete!

Oh, and my name is Bryony, by the way, with the R before the Y Although I was Byrony on all the registers at school for some reason, too, so it's obviously easily done!

I'm really looking forward to the final! *hops about in a childish fashion*
