The Rain Shall Pass
Approaching is the storm
Violent and drawn
Coming unto night
And lasting until dawn
The storm of pain
Rages all about
Ravaging your world
With fear and doubt
But this a storm
And shall end a'las
So do not despair
The rain shall pass
The world seems bleak
So dark and gray
Refusing to subside
For the light of day
Peace seems distant
Far out of reach
Adverse to conditions
Of lessons preached
For life holds sorrows
With its aftermath
Born of God's will
And his ominous wrath
But I swear to you
This is not the end
The pain shall wither
And begin to mend
For night shall turn dawn
And the storm cannot last
You shall grow again
And the rain shall pass
