I hold you in my palm
Too small you are
Green and yellow
Probably fading with loneliness
But still hoping for a better day
Where you could be noticed
And the beauty of you
Never again is missed
Little lines crossing you
They’re your friends, aren’t they?
Your edges are so perfect
I stand dumb by his creation of you
You swing with the wind
And as I blow on you air
You smile back at me
In your own secret way
I hear you singing
With the birds above
Oh, the beauty of you!
Is a small beauty missed
By us

I dont think I have ever read such a beautiful and creative poem about such an ordinary object, it really makes me stop and see things differently, and wonder is this how my two year old sees things when he crouces down fo hours in the park, i'll never hurry him again. Thanks for your comment too really encouraging. I meant to give you more of those star things but got it wrong, will do better next time, if I get the chance thanks for the read, its a new favourite of mine well done

No please, don't hurry him these are just few years of his life that he'll be able to notice the beauty of these little things which we older people just pass by everyday without giving it much thought. And don't worry about the stars, we comment because we like the work not to get stars.

Thanks for this great comment, dear!
