the keep

She releases spirits long held in her keep
On rare moonless nights while the living sleep

On billows of white they're blown by the wind
Toward remembered lives, they move inland

Perchance to find loved ones once dear
sadly, long gone now, none left to hear

The whispered yearning for one more embrace
of spirits still imprisoned with no resting place

Until a Voice in the wind calls them anew
"Come back with me to the endless Blue,

taste the kiss of waves in the arms of the Deep
She'll hold you fast, and forever, in undulating sleep"

This is wonderful! My, my, you have been on a roll with the poetry while I wasn't looking!

Simply stunning, thought provoking, beautiful sentiment.

Oh my, this is just beautiful. You have such a magical way with words.

Only question I have, where can I find seafoam and dunes in Pennsylvania? lol
