Twas Halloween,
She had to be seen..
The rise of the Banshee,
'Rose' up to scare me..
In tattered white death robes,
Her wail blew my ear lobes..
The graveyard shift,
Stones went adrift...
The grim reaper in female form,
Ashen and very torn..
Rising as if in levitation,
A banshee sensation!
Spectres emerged through dark trees,
Ghosts of the past if you please...
The dead and undead haunt,
Their ghostly form they flaunt..
The graveyard gates swung open wide,
Toward me came the ghostly bride..
Murdered brutally on her wedding day,
Now unrested in torment they say..
Screaming, wailing, rising,
Eerie ambiance 'chilling'...
I froze to death,
Joined them after my last breath.
My name was 'Rose MacGooghan in life,
I wasn't long his wife!
Am I you or am I me,
I am now the Banshee!
A recycled soul back to haunt,
My former self to me I flaunt.
When I died,
A 'Solitary Tear' was cried!
