Fresh

Pure natural beauty,
Raven hair, luscious, devine;
She's as fresh as new mowed hay
And sweeter than nouveau wine.

Wind blows, softly rippling grass.
Tresses flutter in the breeze.
Her perfume wafts faintly past
Leaving me weak in the knees.

Author notes

Prompt: The painting is Grass Girl, artist is my (JinSay's) favorite of late, Ms. Katherine Dinger.

    Superb

    Ah, 'tis a fine romantic write, indeed. Imagery, rhythm and rhyme are just fine. Thanks for sharing this one with us.

    Soft and Sensual

    This is just a beautiful poem with great imagery and emotions that lie between the lines. Just a beautiful read and best of luck in the contest.

      Thank you for reading and commenting. I have a general problem with picture prompts, especially when the judge says dont tell me about the picture, tell me about your feelings.

      I am not sure I did what was asked of me.
