Burning word of isolation

the burning never stops,
as the pain gets even worse.
The liquid fained that it all is.
Provoking the heartache
to renew the licence
a fragile capsule am i,
Of bleeding heart and shawls of made up lies.
the baptism was real, or so i thought
as real as my words sought out to you.
but then again...
As these tears flow down,
As the vodka cools my temper.
I thought i was already in hell,
But then i met you.
you left me for another,
leaving me here to die.
the isolation of your word
left an empty void.
"just grow up"
is what you said
but i don't know how.
Isolation is my only refuge.

Author notes

Vodka intimate, an affair with isolation in a black-heath cell
Extinguishing the fires in a private hell
Provoking the heartache to renew the licence
of a bleeding heart poet in a fragile capsule
propping up the crust in the glitter conscience
wrapped in the christening shawl of a hangover
and baptized in tears from the real
lyrics are by Fish from the song Fugazi by the band Marillion
