Bastard King

Mother, proud Mother
Matriarch of I, abomination
The sorcerous enthraller
Who sacrificed her soul to sin

Subduer of the wizard guardian
To steal the seed of power stolen from you
Letting your vengence grow ripe within
Till fruit was bore of eminence anew

I, cursed am I
Birthed & forged the tip of Mothers hate
Bred in treachery & lie
A bastard pawn to blindly vindicate

A crown of thorns, callous & barbed
Hailed to the world my accession
Upon my head usurpation was charged
To herald rightful bloods reascension

Father! Hated Father!
Bane of my incestual creation
Blood of the betrayer
Let death sever our relation

Oh how my blade doth bade
To quell this ravenous wrath
With annihilation, our debts be paid
As the wind echoes with Mothers laugh

This is based on the life of Mordred, King Arthurs bastard son.
His mother ( Morgan) was Arthurs sister, whom she bespelled to have a child with her to be the heir to the kingdom that would have been hers.
Pretty much, he was born a pawn for revenge and nothing more.

Wow, such raw emotion! It could almost have been Hamlet speaking here ( although Hamlet despised Claudius, not his own dad ). It truly portrays the betrayal, horror and obsession that is felt.

GAH! you're style reminds me of some of the greats and honestly I'm not making that up. The language, the imagery all top notch and as I was reading i felt like i was in a very dark scene with the fantasy touch just watching it all happen. Really amazing read.
