.....and my breath was caught
by the vibrant splash of color
when cream-yellow had begun
to encroach on the blue sky,
fingers of orange spread out
from the western horizon
changing the color of the shadows
cast by the setting sun.
.....and a whisper of gold
danced over the sage as the first
promise of sundown started to pass
suddenly from my sight,
and the tufted heads of grass
bowed their acceptance as
the evening breeze stirred with
a rustling yawn, so cool and still.
.....and sometimes, I'm just contented
to view them outside the window
or in the bay walk as I pass by
Or sitting on the bench, facing the sunset
to find solace and comfort as I sit there
and witness this silent eulogy to nature
Oh, how I will miss the sunset
when the last leaf of my life comes to end.

Author notes
Entry # 26. Poem about sunset.
The setting sun is similar to our life,
as we grow old and waiting for our time
to face our destiny from beyond.
Sunrise is life... Sunset is death.

Ah, this is the observant,
gentle, loving summer I have
come to know! We walk in the scene
with you, so perfectly you have described it.
Love and hugs,
Mumsy

Am okay, Mumsy... with the help of medicinal foods and meds from my doc. And to your own prescriptions, too!
It helps a lot. Thank you, Mumsy.
Yeah... a holiday to rest in AP for a while.

This is very beautiful, and also rather moving. I'm a little lost for words, but at least I can tell you that I love it. Good luck.
