Living Circles

Circles,
Orbs of sight
Witnesses of wrong and right.

Circles,
Rings of gold
Eternities to have and hold.

Circles,
Smoke rings in the air
From people who do not care.

Circles,
Dancing without care
'Round the maypole standing there.

Circles,
Ring-Around-the-Rosies
All fall down upon the posies.

Circles,
Hold my hand and sing
Round and round the fairy ring.

Circles
All of life we spend
Hoping there never is an end!

    Wow,
So many definitions to the circle.
    Great poem indeed.
Reminds me of when i would dance around the poles
of my grandmothers carport as a child.
    Lovely write.

Interesting thought provoking write. Like the last stanza especially as it relates to the idea that circles have neither a beginning or end. Best of luck in the contest with this piece!!

Hello. Your examples of circles I like, this write has a fractal feel to it to me, "as above so below", due to the observation of circles turning up in so many ways, and not just in nature but in cultures and different times. I wish you well in the contest. My regards.
