She is hoping to fall fast asleep,
dreaming all her troubles away.
Not knowing they will follow her,
not likely to go astray.
Sleeping so very peacefully,
she will suddenly become aroused.
With horrifying nightmares,
and the demons that they house.
The time is right she’s soon to feel the,
JAB OF THAT FIRST KNIFE.
A PRAY TO GOD SHE GETS AWAY,
THIS TIME WITH HER LIFE.
She’s made it through the first of dreams,
the sweat it soaks her bed.
The next one will be twice as bad
She may just wake up dead.
The alarm it rings to wake her bones,
she lies there cold and still.
For I’m not sure just how you wake,
when in your dreams you’re killed.

To be honest, some times it is real hard to wake from dreams in which you are killed. But those that have you at your own gravesite are the hardest to explain, mainly when you see the date that death will take your life.
Or to see in the daylight just how you will end your life, time seems to travel slow, when the alarm does go off.
