Take a look into your eyes
I'm sinking deep
Flailing my arms
Kicking madly
There's no way I can escape
A tumultuous storm brewing
Tossing me every which way
Holding on for dear life
No place I'd rather be
A cool spring pond
So deep I can't see the bottom
Green algae growing on top
How I'd like to take a sweet dip
Your eyes, the most magnificent shade
Author notes
I think it's pretty easy to judge which colour this is about.

Great theme--I love how you turned the color riddle into a love poem. I'm guessing your color is green.
Thanks for entering the contest, and good luck!

It actually can't be green because you told us we couldn't use the color we were discribing in the poem, and I said "Green algae growing on top". It's blue. Drowning in the deep blue water; the blue-gray-black color of storm clouds; the sweet, translucent blue of a pond in the early days of spring.

Love your title and theme, eyes of a decidedly beautiful shade. Luck.
