Hunger-
the sandpiper stalks the surf,
a search for buried treasure.
Competition-
another plunderer ventures too close;
challenging caw keeps intruder at bay.
Satiation-
stranded shellfish senses its fate-
sundered spirit provides succulent sustenance.

I think poetically this is really a very fine poem
they go together. But i think for hiaku they are just a bit long winded But I am impressed
