Lately I’ve been afflicted with intense emotional distress
My essence needed to be inundated with nature’s exquisiteness
So I decided to wander for awhile and avail myself of her beauty
While walking somberly along the rivers edge I felt so alone
Thoughts spiraling out of control like an emotional cone
I decided to recline upon the tall sweet fragrant grass
To ponder my situation and let the minutes slowly pass
Hands placed behind my head as drowsiness subtly approach
Looking up I notice the clouds marching by in configuration
Billowy shapes, dancing around with the most delightful gyrations
By now I would think you can see where I’m going with this
Emotional distress, somber feelings, okay, one more I can’t resist
I’ll add in the billowy clouds: and where are they to be found
Yes that’s right; I think you’ve got it, so I’ll say goodbye
If this poem is incorrect I can only say I gave it my best try
Author notes
From this mishmash group of words loosely strung together. I wouldn’t be surprise if you find the color in the blink of an eye……..

Wow! Cool rhyme scheme. As for the color...I'm guessing blue, though black was a close second.
Thanks for entering the contest, and good luck!
