The worst was the way
Night flipped with day
The discomfort delaying the sleep
Till time I just couldn't keep
Pillow clutched to my gut
Meds for all that was cut
Struggle to sit on the john
How long would my strength be gone
My brush with mortality
Showed me fragility
Redefined what it is to be a man
So now I spread what joy I can

being confronted with our mortality does redefine life
the expression and emotion found in this work do have impact on the reader
Well done

You know, this is nt fun for me to read, especially doing what I do. I am the biggest sucker when it comes to someone else's pain.
This is not the normal write I was looking for, but I'll survive.
I hope to read smething a little more hopeful soon, or I'll be worried. Okay, take care my friend!

Hey jin. Good to hear from you. I self diagnosed appendicitus, but they thought it was gall bladder, and I ruptured while they twiddled. It was frustrating to have this cramp in my gut that wouldn't let up, and I was too doped and pained to even explain. The nurse saying, "There, there..." I was 9 days getting out of the hospital. 2003 or 4. Months before I could do anything. Cleared up my sub clinical lyme, tho.
